Around the World for Work, the Day After our Lives Changed

Winter 2018

At the end of 2018, I had three nonstop weeks of work travel - meetings in Beijing, Germany and a conference in England. On the flight back from Beijing, I was so hungry I asked the flight attendant for an extra dinner plate and thankfully she indulged me. Knowing my husband and I recently started trying for a baby, and airline food was not typically my jam, I joked with Reggie that we should get a pregnancy test. I fully expected it to be negative, until it wasn’t. Next thing we know, we are on the floor crying tears of joy and nerves. I had 12 hours until my next flight left to Germany, and we were now expecting. Thankfully we did a crash course on the What to Expect app to know what I should avoid food-wise, then I was off for two weeks of meetings in Europe. I was fortunate enough to carve out time to see some of the sites and meeting some really sharp people. Take a look at some of the things that caught my eye.
